The most popular barbeque delight is the ribs. With a variety of recipes available in the market, ribs remain to be a traditional favorite. Popular recipes include spare ribs, smoked ribs, baby back, barbeque beef…this is not even a fraction of the many options available today in the market.
To get the best taste of the barbecued ribs, a certain procedure has to be followed. This will ensure a savory bud tingling taste.
First, preheat an oven to 3500. This will help evaporate the water in the cells of the ribs making it deliciously salty. As the oven preheats, you can prepare the ribs.
Ribs are prepared by first portioning them into three parts then applying spice rub on them. Place them in the oven and allow them to cook for about half an hour. With the portioned ribs in the oven, start setting up the outdoor grill for the barbeque.
After the thirty minutes, remove the partially cooked ribs from the oven and allow them to cook on the hot grill for a further 15 minutes. Extra taste can be added by using barbeque sauce on the ribs.
Due to the highly inflammable characteristic of sugary barbeque sauce, it is advisable to brush the ribs while away from the grill. Use barbeque sauce after the ribs have cooked on the grill for the 15 minutes. This will prevent the ribs from burning before they are well cooked.
After brushing the ribs generously with the barbeque sauce, cook it on moderate heat on the grill for a further 15 minutes. Pork ribs should be cooked at a higher temperature as compared to the beef ribs, i.e. the beef ribs should cook at 150 lower than the 1600 required for pork ribs.
