Finally …Grilling Season is Among Us

Do you have questions about Grilling summer’s most popular cut of meat? That would be ribs and here are some secrets for ribs that will make the neighbors jealous. This recipe starts indoors in the oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees while you prepare the ribs. You could have the butcher do the following, but it’s really very easy to cut the ribs into three-bone sections. Now is a great time to add a spice rub. Next bake the ribs for 30 minutes while you’re preparing your Outdoor Grill.

Take the partially roasted ribs and place them on the grill for about ten minutes. Remove from the heat and brush with your favorite barbecue sauce. The sugar content of most sauces will cause the ribs to burn if applied at the beginning of the cooking process. Return to the heat for about 15 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to be sure to cook your ribs to 145 degrees for beef and 160 degrees for pork. Let them rest for a few minutes and enjoy!

Ready to move on to other kinds of ribs?

Consider flanken-style short ribs—small pieces cut from chuck short ribs. These are marinated prior to cooking for great flavor. Don’t forget baby-back ribs. Baby-back ribs are a staple of backyard and commercial barbecues around the country. There are a lot of options out there and more recipes for rubs, marinades, and sauces can be found. These recipes vary around the country. Try experimenting to find your favorite combination of cut of meat, recipes, and cooking methods.

Even the best recipe and cut of meat won’t help if your grill is in poor shape. Take a moment before you start grilling to be sure the grill is in working order. The internet is a good source for finding any replacement parts you need. This season, make sure that you have the proper barbeque grill parts in order to keep your grill well maintained.
